Terroir
ROOT is located on the hills of Maiolati Spontini, a unique place for soil composition and microclimate. Our vineyards extend over more than 30 hectares, between 300 and 450 meters above sea level, with strong thermal variations and sea winds from the Adriatic. The soils are rich in active limestone (up to 18.9%), with variable combinations of sand, silt and clay. This terroir gives our wines freshness, minerality and a great ability to age.
The panoramic heart of Verdicchio
A natural amphitheater of 24 hectares: from its top you can see most of the area of Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi. It is here that we organize events and tastings, sharing the beauty of Verdicchio with our guests.
The central part is historically planted in 1976, but the vineyard has been renewed by plots over the years.
2 hectares on the north side
Vines over 60 years old, grown on a slope exposed to the fresh winds of the Adriatic. Certified organic farming is also practised here.
In this vineyard regularly graze sheep and goats, in a perfect natural balance.
